Lily & Eucalyptus Funeral Wreath

Lily & Eucalyptus Funeral Wreath

A standing funeral wreath is the most common floral format at SG funerals — and also the one where the sender’s relationship to the deceased is read most clearly by the other mourners. Scale, stem choice, and ribbon inscription communicate whether the wreath is from a colleague, a company, a community organisation, or an extended family member. Getting that register right matters more than getting the stems “perfect.”

This portfolio item is our mid-scale lily-and-eucalyptus format. Stems: white Oriental lilies as the focal (for scent and visual weight), white spray chrysanthemums, white lisianthus, soft trailing eucalyptus and olive branch cascading from the easel. Scale: approximately 4 to 5 feet standing height on an easel, 1.2 to 1.5m wide. This is the standard “colleague / friend / company” scale — not immediate family (who have casket florals), not extended family with close relationship (who typically commission a slightly larger standing wreath or sheaf).

White is non-negotiable in most SG funeral contexts — Chinese, Christian, and most other cultural settings. The trailing eucalyptus reads as softer and more contemporary than the pure-chrysanthemum wreaths that dominate older SG funeral floristry, while still sitting within the acceptable sympathy palette.

The ribbon inscription is the most-watched detail. Our standard is a white grosgrain or ivory silk ribbon across the front, inscribed either with the sender’s name (“From [Your Company]” / “From [Your Name]”) or a short condolence phrase in English, Chinese, or both. We’ll draft inscription wording during the brief — common mistakes (overly-long sentiments, presumptive closeness to the family, mixed-language phrasing that doesn’t read cleanly) are easy to avoid with a short reference conversation.

Same-day delivery to all major SG parlours when ordered before 11am for afternoon-service, before 8am for morning-service delivery. We install directly — the wreath is not left at the parlour’s reception for the family to handle.
