White Rose Casket Spray

A casket spray is immediate-family scope. It sits on the casket lid through the service and is the most visible floral piece at any funeral. Because of that visibility and that cultural weight, the brief is narrower than almost any other sympathy format — there’s little room for design flexibility without disrupting the service register.
This portfolio item is our standard immediate-family casket spray: white garden roses as the focal, white hydrangea for volume and visual weight, trailing foliage (eucalyptus, ruscus, or Italian ruscus depending on availability) cascading over the casket edges. No pastels, no bright stems, no feature blooms beyond the roses. The palette restraint is deliberate — anything more complex reads as over-designed for the moment.
Scale is calibrated to the casket length: typically 4 to 5 feet long, with the foliage trailing another 30 to 45cm beyond that. We measure casket dimensions directly with the parlour before build — they vary more than non-family members realise, and a spray sized for a standard casket looks wrong on a larger or smaller one.
The mechanics are foam-based. A floral-foam base holds the stems at consistent angle and water supply, attached to the casket lid via the parlour’s standard mounting. We install at the parlour 4 to 6 hours before the service — early enough to allow any adjustment, late enough that the stems are fresh through the service and any viewing.
For immediate family only. Standing wreaths for extended family and guests are a different scope — we handle those separately. A family sometimes requests a companion sheaf (a laid bouquet on top of a closed portion of the casket) rather than a full spray; we’ll design these together so the two pieces read as one visual language.
Delivery and install across all major SG parlours — Singapore Casket, Mount Vernon, Harmony Funeral Care, various church and temple parlours. Timing is coordinated directly with the parlour’s master-of-ceremony so the install doesn’t clash with viewing hours or service preparation.
