Wedding Venues in Singapore: A Florist’s Guide (2026)

Choosing a wedding venue in Singapore isn’t just about the space itself — it’s about everything the space asks of your florals, your guest flow, and your photography. We’ve installed florals at most of Singapore’s significant wedding venues over the last few years, and each one has a rhythm you design around rather than against. This guide is our florist’s perspective on the venues, what works in each, and what to budget.
The Big Hotel Ballrooms
The Fullerton Hotel Singapore
What we love: The marble, the columns, the generous ceiling heights. Florals can go architectural here. Floral considerations: Tall centrepieces (80cm+) scale properly with the columns. Aisle installations photograph beautifully against the neoclassical backdrop. Avoid dainty / informal palettes — they get lost in the scale. Approximate floral budget: S$15,000–S$35,000 for a 150-guest reception with ceremony + installations.
Capella Singapore
What we love: The indoor-outdoor architecture. Garden ceremonies with tropical foliage backdrop, moving into the ballroom for reception. Floral considerations: Humidity on Sentosa means careful flower selection for outdoor moments. We prefer hardier blooms (anthurium, hydrangea, orchids) over delicate garden roses for outdoor ceremony work. Approximate floral budget: S$18,000–S$40,000.
Raffles Hotel Singapore
What we love: The colonial architecture is irreplaceable. Lawn ceremonies with the frangipani trees are iconic. Floral considerations: The heritage aesthetic rewards restrained palettes — ivory, cream, soft blush. Avoid fighting the venue’s character with bold primaries. Approximate floral budget: S$20,000–S$45,000.
Marina Bay Sands
What we love: The skyline views from the upper ballrooms, the modern architecture that takes crisp editorial florals well. Floral considerations: The scale rewards statement pieces. Photo-corner installations work especially well given the natural light and city backdrop. Approximate floral budget: S$15,000–S$35,000.
Shangri-La Singapore
What we love: The garden wing. A ballroom with actual garden access is rare in SG and we use it. Floral considerations: Blend indoor-outdoor with through-line palettes. Works for garden-to-ballroom flow weddings. Approximate floral budget: S$14,000–S$32,000.
Heritage & Boutique Venues
CHIJMES
What we love: The chapel for ceremony + the courtyard for reception, one continuous space. Floral considerations: The chapel’s stone architecture and stained glass handle rich palettes beautifully. Ceremony aisle florals, a single altar installation, and photo corner arrangements in the courtyard cover the core scope well. Approximate floral budget: S$8,000–S$20,000.
The Alkaff Mansion
What we love: Colonial bungalow feel, intimate scale, outdoor garden component. Floral considerations: Smaller venue means you can do less, but what you do needs to be considered. Garden-style palettes work well; avoid the over-stuffed ballroom aesthetic. Approximate floral budget: S$6,000–S$15,000.
Andaz Singapore / Intercontinental / St Regis
What we love: Varying characters — Andaz is modern, Intercontinental is classic, St Regis is restrained luxury. Floral considerations: Each has its own aesthetic register; palette and structure decisions hinge on which you choose. Ask your florist to visit the specific ballroom you’re booked into — not just the hotel generically. Approximate floral budget: S$12,000–S$28,000.
Garden & Outdoor Venues
Fort Canning Hotel
What we love: The heritage buildings, the lawn, the rain tree canopy. Ceremonies under the rain tree are unforgettable. Floral considerations: Weather is a real variable. Have a rain plan baked into the scope. Florals for outdoor SG ceremonies need to handle 85% humidity without wilting — we use hardier flowers + arrive fresh on the day. Approximate floral budget: S$10,000–S$25,000.
The Botanic Gardens (Shaw Foundation Symphony Stage / Halia)
What we love: Singapore’s UNESCO-listed gardens. Nothing else is remotely comparable. Floral considerations: The gardens themselves ARE the backdrop. Keep florals minimal and tonally consistent with the setting — garden-style, not overwrought. Approximate floral budget: S$6,000–S$18,000.
Non-Hotel, Non-Garden Options
Cliveden (Marina Bay Sands private dining)
Intimate private dining — for weddings under 30 guests. Tablescape-focused florals, no installation work.
Private Residence / Black Box venues
Fully custom. We’ve done industrial warehouses, private-home weddings, and non-traditional black box spaces across Singapore. Budget scales with ambition — a black box venue with no existing character means florals and lighting carry the entire aesthetic.
What Shapes the Floral Budget
Three main drivers across every venue:
- Venue scale — a 50-guest intimate ceremony can be floral-finished at S$4,000; a 250-guest flagship might need S$35,000 to feel considered.
- Installation ambition — are you doing an arch, a full stage, a ceiling hung installation, or photo corners? Each is a distinct line item.
- Flower selection — peonies (in season) run 3x the cost of roses. Importing specific flowers for a palette can add thousands.
Questions to Ask Your Florist (Venue-Specific)
- “Have you installed at this venue before?” — and ask for photos of the specific ballroom/space, not just the hotel.
- “What’s the loading bay / delivery access like for this venue?” — matters more than you’d think. Some hotels have restricted vendor entry.
- “What’s your rain plan for outdoor ceremony florals?” — if applicable.
- “Can you work with the venue’s in-house décor team / stylist?” — some venues have preferred vendor lists; we work around them.
