Seasonal Centerpieces Workshop
Intermediate-level workshop: learn to build dinner-party and event centerpieces with seasonal flowers. For people who’ve done a basic class or want to go beyond hand-tied bouquets.

Building a centerpiece is a different discipline from a hand-tied bouquet. Different mechanics, different proportions, different considerations. Centerpieces need to sit stable on a table, work at eye level from seated guests, photograph beautifully from all angles, and hold their form over a meal. This workshop teaches how.
What You’ll Learn
By the end of the session:
- Centerpiece architecture — low-and-dense vs. tall vs. linear runners
- Foam-free mechanics — chicken wire, kenzan (pin frogs), vessel-based structure without floral foam
- Colour and proportion for tablescapes — colour temperature under warm light, visibility across the table, flower longevity in warmer dining rooms
- Seasonal palettes — working with what’s in season vs. forcing imports
- Vessel selection — ceramic, glass, vintage metal, heirloom pieces
Prerequisites: either completed our Floral Arrangement 101 class OR prior bouquet-arranging experience. This isn’t absolute-beginner content.
